If you are thinking about a body
building regimen, then you must consider many things. You need to understand about the body's
Muscles Fitness And Conditioning, Eating Right, Supplements and more. Research is necessary before any type of body building routine is undertaken. A preconditioning period may be necessary
for people who have not worked out recently. This preconditioning period is important so you don't hurt yourself or get discouraged from the rigors of exercise. A bodybuilding routine is something
that must always change so you must be aware of all your tools and options.
When you
are considering Bodybuilding Or Weight Training, you must educate yourself on the muscles in the body. The muscles
are composed of three basic types of fibers; slow twitch, fast twitch A, and fast twitch B. The slow twitch fibers are used during activities that require endurance like cross country
running. Muscle mass gain with these fibers will not happen through training. They require weight training to
stimulate these muscles. The fast twitch fibers A and B get tired more easily than the slow twitch. They are able to withstand more force and strength, but they have the least amount of endurance.
These fibers are most commonly used during sprinting and power lifting exercises. The fast twitch A and B fibers are best developed through weight lifting with heavy weights to product the most
significant growth of muscle mass. An example of the fast switch A and B muscles are those on the legs of a sprinter.
There are
many different body building exercises that you can do to build your gluteus, quads, hamstrings, calves, and hips. The gluteus can be built significantly by doing squats, leg
presses, lunges, and dead-lifts. The quads are best built by doing squats, leg extensions, leg presses, and lunges. The best body building exercises for the hamstrings include deadlifts, straight
leg deadlifts, and leg curls. The only two ways to really build the muscle mass in the calves is to do seated and standing calf raises. The chest and back muscles, during body building, need specific exercises to build the pecs, traps, lats, mid back, and the lower back.
Many of the exercises responsible for building major muscle mass in the chest and the back muscles are the bench presses, dumbbells, wide-grip pull ups, seated rows, shrugs,
and upright rows. The arms and shoulders are important to tone during body building and the muscles you need to work are the deltoids, triceps, biceps, forearms, and the
abdomen. The exercises that build these muscles the best are the military presses, front raises, lateral raises, bench dips, curls for the wrist and biceps, crunches, and
incline twisting sit-ups.
Bruce Lee held strength in high regard as one of man's greatest virtues. Many Martial Artists before Bruce Lee only trained in the technique of their Martial Arts to gather strength. Bruce used
a total fitness routine similar to a bodybuilder but with fighting techniques. What separated Bruce from the bodybuilders is that weight training was just a part of his Pursuit of Strength. He
trained for other things like Speed, Endurance, Timing, and Sensitivity. He knew bigger muscles would make him faster and stronger but only to certain extent. If his muscles were too big and he
didn't train for other attributes he wouldn't have the speed and flexibility to harness that strength. Too much focus on weight training is like over sharpening a sword, eventually the sword
becomes dull and is useless.

"Training for strength and flexibility is a must. You must use it to support your technique. Techniques are no good if you don't support them with strength and flexibility."-Bruce Lee
