The key to meditating for many of us, is finding a way to
incorporate it into our already hectic schedules. If you take one step towards meditation it will take two steps towards you. You can try early in the morning by waking up 5 minutes earlier and go
from there. Eventually over time you will see that 5 minutes will become 10 minutes, and then 15 minutes and so on.Some prefer nightly meditation, where they can use it as
a means to empty their mind and sleep peacefully.
Consider walking meditation,
this is a meditation in action. In this type of meditation instead of focusing on an object, word, phrase or vision, your focus in on the movement of you body while you walk. You need to become
mindful of your walk and the experience of walking. Obviously in this meditation you will not be closing your eyes as you would with other forms of meditation. Zazen is another form of meditation where you don't close your eyes. It is the form of meditation for practitioners of Zen.
A huge part of meditation is proper
breathing, and focusing on deep breathing exercises. These deep breathing exercises you can do sitting in traffic in your car, standing in line at the grocery store or waiting
for you dinner when out at a restaurant. You do not need hours of time, just ten minutes twice a day, is enough to change your life for the better. Ten
minutes can be your shower in the morning, that extra ten minutes you have in between hitting the snooze button is enough time for meditation. If you can commit, you will see and feel the
difference in no time. If you ever find yourself "out" of the moment you can return to your breathing.Home | About Us | Contact Us | Privacy Policy | Site Map | Blog | Myspace
